Route 20 in Sturbridge is expected to be closed most of the day after a tractor-trailer crashed into a utility pole.

A tractor-trailer truck that snapped a utility pole, bringing lines down across the road has resulted in the complete shutdown of Route 20 in Sturbridge.

The accident happened late Thursday morning by The Center at Hobbs Brook, where Walmart is located. Lt. Earl Dessert of the Sturbridge Police Department said ice may have been weighing the wires down, causing the truck to catch them. There were no injuries from the accident.
